Right to Information (RTI) is an Act of the Indian Parliament enforced from the year 2005, mandates timely response to citizens requests for government information. This aims to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority. The College of Agricultural Engineering and Post Harvest Technology, Gangtok is constituent college of Central Agricultural University, Imphal Manipur, being an Autonomous Government Body of is covered under this act.

RTI fee details:
The prescribed RTI fee to be enclosed along with application form in the form of Demand Draft/Banker Cheque/IPO, as per RTI Act, 2005 and subsequent related amendment/O.M, etc. if any, should be submitted to the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur/Assistant Central Public Information Officer, College of Agricultural Engineering and Post Harvest Technology, Central Agricultural University, Ranipool, Gangtok, Sikkim as may be required, for further processing of the case. However, Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque/IPO of Rs. 10/- being processing RTI fee should also be addressed to “The Comptroller, CAU, Imphal”. Further, the fee can also be paid by Cash.
