Department of Basic Engineering and Applied Sciences:
The Department of Basic Engineering and Applied Sciences (BEAS), which was earlier known as the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities (BSH), is actively engaged in teaching, research and various extension activities. This is a multi-disciplinary department which houses the disciplines like Bio-Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Soil and Agricultural Sciences, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Microbiology, Computer Engineering, Ago-Business Management, English Language and Communication etc. This department offers different courses related to applied Sciences, basic engineering and humanities to the students of B. Tech. (Agricultural Engineering), B. Tech. (Food Technology) and M. Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) every semester. The department also contributes its potential equally to different research programmes and extension activities throughout the year.
